Introduction
E-899 external modulation CATV optical transmitter is the core equipment for 1550nm fiber optical CATV system. It provides technical and equipment support to localized production, CATV network’s large coverage, and high quality transmission. By using the laser with low noise, narrow line width, and continuous wave as opitcal source, also by using the LiNbO3 external modulator made by American JDS-U Corporation as signal modulation, it eliminates the chirp effect caused by direct modulation by 1550hm laser.
